Today’s sharing do something to do with your windows registry and why you should click on your PC repair links.

There are few computer users know the existence of a windows registry, not to mention the utility of registry cleaning.  The registry is the central database of a system that stores information about the computer.
It has the details of hardware and software that runs the computer system. It simply records all the activity that takes place on the system. This means that the operating system keeps on adding to the information in its database and so it must grow as the days go by.

Why we need to know the PC registry repair procedures?

As the database gets bigger and bigger, the speed of scanning the registry for information that is called up by some program will be much more than the speed of the processor and so the system will become sluggish and slow.

Here, you need to know how to use a PC registry repair tool to help you.

You need a registry cleaner to scan the the registry of the system and identify broken links, files, fonts, and any information that is not in any way needed or used by the system.

How it works?

#1 The software will prompt you to scan the registry by clicking on ’scan registry’ link. The scanning process will take about three minutes to scan the registry and then display the redundant links on the page.

#2 Then it will ask you to ‘repair the PC registry by clicking on the ‘repair’ link. This process takes a couple of seconds.

#3 When you reboot your system the computer will be running more smoothly and efficiently because the junk has been removed from the system by the windows registry cleaning software.

I guess you may have grown to have like my data recovery blog. Since Feburary 2008, I have painstakingly shared every possible aspect in data recovery or retrieving process, tips and techniques. I hope you find these sharing useful and insightful.

For today’s sharing, I intend to show you how to backup your windows registry before it is too late (I mean too late as in your system got infected by virus or some sort)

The source is from Symantec:

To back up the entire registry

#1 Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Backup.

#2 Click Advanced Mode.

#3 Do one of the following:

*** If you see the Backup or Restore Wizard as shown below, make sure that “Always start in wizard mode” is not checked, and then click Advanced Mode.

*** If you see the Backup Utility window as shown below, go on to step 4.

#4 On the Welcome tab, click the Backup Wizard (Advanced) button. 

#5 Click Next.

#6 Select Only back up the System State data, and click Next.

#7 Click the Browse button.

#8 If the Insert Disk warning message displays, click Cancel.

#9 In the left pane, click the Desktop button.

#10 Click Save.

#11 Click Next.

#12 Click Finish.

#13 When you see the message “The backup is complete” — this could take a few minutes–click Close.

#14 Close the Backup Utility window.
