It almost seems too good to be true, but free data recovery is out there and it is available to computer users like you an me! Several pop-up websites now offer what is known as “free data recovery services” and all it takes is a click or two.

I did one experiment that day.

Like everyone else, I was very sceptical about this and can never be too sure about something, so I decided to purposely delete some important information and leave it up to the “experts” at one of these data recovery websites to assist me in finding what I had “lost”.

Am I taking a big risk to delete my life’s work?

The only way to test out the validity of such claims of this free data recovery services on this website was to delete important data to my work and see whether they are willing to assist me in my data recovery from my computer.

What I deleted was some online work I was previously for a client and sent them to the recycling folder and emptied them later. After that, I began to search for one those sites giving such free services that would help me get my data back.

What did I do now?

I proceeded to “Google” and began my search and once I found these sites, I filled my details and some information of my computer’s hardware configuration. After all those filling up, I began to wait for them to pour over my problem in a lab and start devising the tools to help me recover my lost work.

Do you want to know what is the outcome of this experiment? If yes, stay tuned for my next post, I will be sharing with you more in depth whether there are such a thing called “Free Data Recovery Services”.

Till then, take care of your data!
